    Grade 5 Mathematics - Operations with Numbers

    Grade Five Expectations for Operations with Numbers

    Essential Learning Outcome 1: Whole Number Operations

    • Fluently multiply multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm
    • Find whole-number quotients of whole numbers with up to four-digit dividends
    • Use parentheses, brackets, or braces in numerical expressions and evaluate expressions
    • Write simple expressions and interpret patterns in numerical expressions
