    Birthday Party Play

    Family Celebrations

    Small groups of 4-6 children

    Learning Objectives

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1. 1Gather children and explain we're having a Caribbean birthday party
    2. 2Put on party hats and choose roles (birthday child, guests, family)
    3. 3Sing 'Happy Birthday' in English and practice simple Caribbean version
    4. 4Dance with scarves to Caribbean music
    5. 5Pretend to eat cake and celebrate together
    6. 6Take turns being the birthday child
    7. 7End with group hug and celebration cheer
