    Family Celebration Tree

    Family Celebrations

    Learning Objectives

    • Understand concept of family celebrations
    • Practice fine motor skills with cutting and gluing
    • Develop vocabulary about family and celebrations
    • Create visual representation of personal experiences

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1. 1Show children the tree trunk and explain it represents their family
    2. 2Help children glue tree trunk to paper
    3. 3Add green leaves around the tree
    4. 4Choose colored circles for different celebrations
    5. 5Help children draw simple pictures on circles (birthday cake, gifts, etc.)
    6. 6Glue celebration circles onto the tree as 'celebration fruits'
    7. 7Write celebration names with teacher help
    8. 8Share trees with classmates

    Assessment Criteria

    • ✓Child uses materials appropriately
    • ✓Child creates recognizable celebration symbols

    • Brown construction paper (tree trunk)
