    Unity Friendship Circle

    Celebrating Together
    15 minutes

    Learning Objectives

    • Reflect on importance of celebrating together
    • Practice expressing feelings and thoughts
    • Build sense of classroom community
    • Develop appreciation for diversity and friendship

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1. 1Sit in close circle together
    2. 2Pass talking stick and share one thing we love about celebrating together
    3. 3Talk about how celebrations bring people together
    4. 4Share what we learned about different celebrations
    5. 5Discuss how we can celebrate friendship every day
    6. 6End with group hug or friendship handshake
    7. 7Sing simple unity song together

    Assessment Criteria

    • ✓Child participates in circle discussion
    • ✓Child expresses positive thoughts about celebrations
    • ✓Child shows understanding of community and friendship
    • ✓Child demonstrates respectful listening
