    Song & Movement Game

    Learning Objectives

    • Learn traditional songs and games
    • Develop gross motor skills
    • Practice following directions
    • Experience joy in group activities

    Preparation

    • Clear space for movement
    • Learn traditional song like 'Ring-a-Ring o' Roses' or local variation
    • Write song lyrics on chart paper
    • Practice movements beforehand

    Step-by-Step Instructions

      Gather children in circle

      Introduce the song and explain it's a game too

      Teach the song line by line

      Add simple movements gradually

      Practice slowly first, then at normal speed

      Ask children if they know other singing games
