    Grandparents' Game Demonstration

    Preparation

    • Invite grandparent or community elder
    • Discuss which traditional game to demonstrate
    • Prepare materials needed for the game
    • Set up comfortable space for elder and children

    Step-by-Step Instructions

      Welcome elder warmly to classroom

      Have children introduce themselves
    3. 3
      Ask elder to share about games from their childhood
    4. 4
      Watch demonstration of traditional game
    5. 5
      Ask questions: 'How did you learn this game?' 'Who did you play with?'

      Let children try the game with elder's guidance
    7. 7
      Thank elder for sharing their knowledge
    8. 8
      Discuss what they learned about games in the past

    Materials Needed

    • Materials for traditional game (marbles, rope, etc.)
    • Chairs for elder
    • Camera for documentation

    • Child shows respect for elder
    • Child listens attentively to stories
    • Child attempts to play traditional game
    • Child asks appropriate questions
